Getting Started
- Navigate the appropriate URL.
- Log in with your credentials.
Searching for a Patient
- Click "New Encounter" on the top navigation bar.
- Enter the patient's information in the search box and click "Search."
Note: You may also add a new patient by click the "Add Patient" button above the "Search" button.
Selecting CareFlows
- After selecting the correct patient in the system, you will need to use the right protocol to help the patient with their questions and/or appointment requests.
- For example, if a patient is having an UTI complaint, select the appropriate protocol from the drop-down list to view a list of available symptoms.
- A series of screening questions will be presented to the patient to collect information for the appointment. The results will be saved in the appointment detail for viewing by clinical staff.
- Click "Schedule an Appointment."
- You may proceed to schedule the appointment and you can also filter by several parameters including the practice location, date range and time range.
Select the appropriate filter to see a list of available appointments. - Select the desired timeslot for the patient and enter any additional information in the pop-up window.
Click "Create Appointment(s)." - Once the correct appointment option is selected, the agent will be prompted to review and create the appointment. When the appointment has been created, a confirmation will display for the agent and an email and/or SMS message will be sent to the patient.
- You may select any of the above options to continue or end the encounter.
- Continue Editing Encounter: This will bring you back to the patient Encounter page.
- Submit Encounter: Submits the Encounter and brings you back to the patient Encounter Page.
- Save and Close: Save and close the Encounter.
Saving to EHR
- Navigate back to the Encounters page.
- Scroll down to find the Secure Messages box.
- Click "Save to Chart."
- Select the appropriate provider for notification.
Note: The default provider for notification is the Triage Nurse.
