Breaking Glass from the Queue

 

 

Precondition: A private encounter is in the queue, as indicated by the word “Private” on the card.

 

 

  1. Click on the card and click Assign to Me and Open.

 

 

  1. Click Break Glass (per organizational policy, this may be prior to reaching the patient for staff to be aware of the reason for the call OR after reaching the patient to limit views of a private encounter).

 

 

  1. In Break Glass pop-up window, click on the drop-down field and select the most appropriate reason for breaking glass.  Click Submit.
